The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder, which can only mean one thing…. the new snowboarding and skiing season is almost here!
The help get us in the mood and set up for the upcoming season The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show is coming to the Manchester EventCity this weekend, the 24th – 26th October, and London’s Earls Court the weekend after, 30th Oct – 2nd Nov.
This will be the second year of the event which saw a very successful outing the first time round. This year there will be ‘après ski style bars, alpine food, resorts from around the world and over 100 stands showcasing the best in winter sports.’
After looking around the website www.skiandsnowboard.co.uk I’m really looking forward to attending this week in Manchester. You can get some really good deals to The Chill Factor and they are even giving away 10,000 free liftpasses at their stand, can’t get better than free! I also think that the Virgin alpine wine tasting could be fun, however if you put that anywhere I would be interested.
The main focus for the event will be for the ski and snowboard companies to advertise their new gear and for the holiday companies to sign you up for your winter holiday. If you are still to book that holiday then you might just find a really good deal, and who doesn’t like looking at the new shiny toys that comes with a new season.
We will be doing a review of the show, so if you can’t make it down yourself hopefully we can bring it to you. If there are any particularly good deals, or cool toys, we will be sure to let you know. If you can make it then the ticket prices and opening times are as followed:
